Graduation Ceremony 2025

Lars Humrich opened this year's graduation ceremony in Marienau with glittering soap bubbles – a fitting symbol for this diverse graduating class, as quickly became obvious.

“Like soap bubbles, you are a colorful bunch of different sizes, colors, and shapes who have found your way to Marienau from seven different countries,” said Humrich in his speech. For many of the 44 graduates, the journey to Marienau was a long one.

For the boarding school students in particular, their time at Marienau meant living in a protected community which, according to Humrich, “forms its own bubble – open to the world, but characterized by solidarity and mutual support.” But many external students have also remained loyal to Marienau over the years – some since the lower grades.
A total of 44 students took the exams, 43 of whom passed successfully. The top grade of 1.2 was awarded once, and the overall average was 2.49.
